Label-Aire 2172 Hugger Belt System

|
A large chocolate manufacturer required a system to apply pressure
sensitive labels to the bottom of five different sizes of filled
and closed candy packages at speeds up to 60 products per minute.
Label-Aire designed a product handling system utilizing custom
dual, thin line side hugger belts to open and close in width
to accommodate various shrink wrapped trays.
Using our Model 2115CD mounted bottom up, products
are hand loaded onto a 3 long in-feed conveyor which deliver
aligned products to the hugger belts before the 2115CD applies
the 3 wide by 5 long, clear film label. All hardware and labeler
are mounted on a welded and painted carbon steel mainframe with
locking casters for ease of mobility. |

Label-Aire 3115 Hugger Belt System

|
A large water bottle company required a system to apply pressure
sensitive labels to the top of bottle caps for its 5 gallon
water bottles. The labels feature an FDA-approved adhesive which
when applied to the top of the cap, serves as a valve cover.
The cap's protruding tear-tab makes it impossible to place it
face up and flat on a normal conveyor belt. Previously these
caps were labeled by hand.
Label-Aire designed a custom product handling system utilizing
dual side Linatex hugger belts. The hugger belts move and suspend
the unlabeled caps face down at conveyor speed. The labels are
accurately applied from underneath utilizing a single Label-Aire
Model 3115 Wipe-On labeling head at speeds up to 200 caps per
minute. The 3115 Hugger Belt System can handle cap sizes ranging
in width from 1 to 4 and with a label placement accuracy of
+/- 1/32. |

Label-Aire 3-Panel DVD Case Labeling System

|
A national DVD & CD manufacturing company required a labeling
system to apply pre-printed security warning labels and also
print and apply bar code labels to the tops and bottoms of DVD
movie cases.
Label-Aire's custom solution was to modify its new Inline Series
6000 open-frame labeling system for apply-only and print-and-apply
labeling. The pre-printed security warning labels are handled
by the 3114 Tamp-Blow applicator while the bar code labels are
applied using the 3138-N printer applicator. By combining the
inline conveyor technology with the 3114 and 3138-N, the end
result is the versatile, fast, and reliable labeling system
the customer was looking for.
The Label-Aire 3-Panel DVD Case Labeling System applies labels
to the tops and bottoms of DVD movie cases at speeds up to 80
ppm. The 3-panel application of each label takes place when
the unit's two pneumatic wipe down stations perform their duty
by ensuring that the labels have adhered to the front and back
sides of the DVD case. Label placement accuracy is +/- 1/32".

Label-Aire 6114 Loose Loop Printer Applicator

|
A national supplier of PVC plumbing fittings required a labeling
system to print bar code information on to labels and apply
them to various PVC fittings.
The custom solution was to combine its 3114 Tamp-Blow applicator
with a table top printer and integrate it with a good conveying
system. The result is the 6114 Loose Loop Printer Applicator.
By combining inline conveyor technology with the 3114 and an
O.E.M. printer, a speedy, versatile, and reliable custom labeling
system was created.
The 6114 Loose Loop prints and applies bar code labels at speeds
up to 150 pieces per minute. The 6114 was also designed to be
easily changed over to label a variety of PVC fitting shapes
including products with flat or round surfaces. The 3114 applicator
can be rotated at different angles to do side as well as top
labeling. The labeling system's secondary powered roller device
ensures that labels adhere to even the most oddly shaped fittings.
The 3114's label placement accuracy is +/- 1/32" and features
a stepper motor drive for increased reliability and lower maintenance.
