Label-Aire 6115 With Orienting Wrap
 |
A manufacturer of feminine hygiene products needed to accurately
wrap apply a decorative label to a cylindrical product at speeds
up to 35 containers per minute. The cylindrical container required
a combination primary and tamper-evident label to be applied
on a spot relative to a specific location on the container’s
pump cap. As the products are fed randomly, the labeling system
must orient the products prior to the label application.
The
solution was to configure the Inline Series 6000 labeling system
with the 3115 Wipe-On applicator and a custom product orienting
wrap system. The result was the Model 6115 With Orienting Wrap
labeling system which easily and accurately applies clear decorative
tamper-evident labels at the same location on the customers
cylindrical pump bottle.
As the randomly-fed bottles approach
the point of label application, a capture roller holds and
spins each bottle in place. A combination of sensors and software
determines the precise location of label application ensuring
that the labels tamper-evident portion is placed at the same
location of the bottle every time (+/- 1/32"). |

Label-Aire Inline Series 6000 4-Panel Labeling
System

|
A fertilizer company required a system to apply pressure-sensitive
labels to its full line of plant fertilizer containers. The
labels are applied to two types of containers: Oval-shaped
and round containers. They required a single labeling system
that could wrap apply labels to its round containers and easily
change over to apply a 4-panel label to its oval containers.
Previously, they were using two separate labelers with unsatisfactory
results.
The solution was to modify the Inline Series 6000 open-frame
labeling system to accommodate two 3115 Wipe-On applicators
on the same side of the conveyor. The labeling system includes
a 12 foot conveyor, dual spacer wheels for product timing,
an 80 inch top trap hold down, a swing tamp gate, a secondary
pneumatic impressor, and a wrap belt.
For 4-panel labeling,
the label is dispensed directly across the tamp swing gate
just as the oval container enters the top trap hold down. When
the oval container passes through the swing gate, the leading
edge of the container attaches itself to the label while the
gates rubber squeegee edges wipe down the sides of the container.
The secondary pneumatic impressor arm pushes its wheel behind
the rear of the container wiping down the labels trailing edge
resulting in a clean and wrinkle-free 4-sided labeled product. |

Label-Aire Inline Series 6000 Zero Downtime Labeling
System

|
An automotive cleaning solution company was in need of a versatile
pressure-sensitive labeling system to apply labels to its 1-gallon
jugs of its private label glass and surface cleaner reliably
at high speeds. They also required tight labeling tolerances,
continuous labeling capability, and a bottle ejection system
for non-labeled products.
The custom solution was to fit two high
speed 3115 Wipe-On labelers on the same side of its most popular
open-frame conveyor. The result is the Inline Series 6000 Zero
Downtime Labeling System. By combining wipe-on labeling with
conveyor technology, a fast and reliable labeling system was
created.
It easily applies labels to 1-gallon jugs at speeds
up to 200 containers per minute. Utilizing a top-trap mechanism
to secure the product during application, label placement accuracy
of +/- 1/32" is maintained. The systems zero downtime
configuration allows uninterrupted labeling when one applicator
runs out of labels, the system automatically switches to the
other and labeling continues.

Label-Aire 3-Panel CD Case Labeling System

|
A CD manufacturing company required a labeling system to print-and-apply
barcoded labels to the unhinged edge of CD jewel cases. This
company also required a barcode scanner to verify the barcodes
and an ejection system to reroute any product with incorrect
barcodes or missing labels.
The custom solution was to modify
the Inline Series 6000 open-frame labeling system for print-and
apply labeling. The barcode labels are applied using the 3138-N
printer applicator. By combining the inline conveyor with the
3138-N, the end result is a fast and reliable labeling system.
