CTM In-Line
Security CD/DVD Spine Labeling

|
The CD/DVD Spine Labeling System is capable of applying up
to 3 separate security labels to the top, bottom and latch
edges of a CD/DVD jewel case. The system easily integrates
into existing CD/DVD packaging systems in line or off line.
System Hi-Lites include the rugged CTM 3600 Series Printer
Applicator and/or the CTM 360 Series label applicator for labeling
up to 120 CD/DVD products per minute.
Options include Bar Code
verification with light stack warning, CD presence detection,
product eject stations, product spacing wheel and 90 Degree
turn stations. Systems can also accommodate additional spot
label applicators if needed. |

Label-Aire Vertical Trunnion Labeling System
 |
Label-Aire provided a turnkey system, which included the Model
2115CD Label Applicator mounted to a Vertical Roller Module
conveyor system. The vials are transferred from the customer's
capper into our guide rails supported by the caps. A single
feedscrew assembly smoothly guides the vials into the vertical
roller conveyor. A thermal transfer cabinet printer is loose-loop
interfaced to the 2115CD labeler to variably print date and
expiration information on the labels prior to application.
The
Vertical Roller Wrap Assembly eliminates label skew caused
by product lean and minimizes stability issues typically associated
with high speed wrap applications. The 6" (152 mm) by
6' (1.8 m) long mainframe conveyor system also incorporates
an encoder which automatically synchronizes the dispense speed
of the 2115CD to changes in the wrap belt speeds. |

Label-Aire 2138 Print & Apply Case Labeling
System

|
Label-Aire provided a Model 2138 Print & Apply applicator
with a Zebra print engine integrated onto a Hytrol belt conveyor.
The variably printed side panel label is applied using tamp-blow
technology where the air cylinder application pad holds the
dispensed label by vacuum and then extends and blows the label
onto the product from a short distance. The corner wrap application
for light cases is accomplished by dispensing the 4" x
10" label onto the tamp pad with 5"of the label flagged
out over the trailing edge of the pad. The leading 5" of
the label is tamp-blow applied to the trailing side of the
case. A clamp and fold station mounted to the conveyor awaits
the product down stream.
An air cylinder clamp is extended to
capture the product while an air cylinder roller applicator
completes the corner wrap by extending and laying down the
trailing edge of the label. For heavier cartons, the clamp
is merely turned off and the foam roller is swiveled into a
downstream slanted position to extend and fold the label onto
the rear panel of the case while the product is moving. The
system design for the corner wrap application applies labels
at a rate of 10 products per minute. |

Label-Aire 2138 Print & Apply System

|
Label-Aire designed a turnkey system which includes a Model
2138 Print & Apply applicator mounted on vertical and horizontal
gib slides for precision adjustment. Currently, the products
are hand loaded onto a 6" wide by 10' long conveyor and
positioned with adjustable custom guide rails.
The bar code labels
are printed and applied to the products and then scanned by
a Microscan bar code reader. The bar-coded product is verified
for correctness and is air-cylinder ejected onto an eject chute
if a match is not verified. A missing label detection device
is also incorporated into the system and the product is also
ejected if a label is not detected on the product. A secondary
motorized foam impressor wheel completes the label lay down. |

Label-Aire 2139/3115 Pallet Labeler

|
Label-Aire designed a custom product handling system that
joins a 3115 Wipe-On with a Model 2139 and its 360° vacuum
drum applicator. The wipe-on unit dispenses two separate labels
onto the cylindrical vacuum drum. As the pallet moves into
position, the labeling system's arm swings in front of the
pallet applying the first label to the front side.
Upon completion,
the drum re-orients to place the second label to a pre-determined
location on the side panel of the pallet. After the pallet
passes through, the arm swings back to its original position
to receive two more labels and is soon ready to label the next
pallet. This labeling system's label placement accuracy is
within +/- 1/8". The system is very versatile
in that it can also be adapted to print-and-apply use by switching
out the primary applicator with a Label-Aire printer applicator. |
